2 DAAD Short-Term Research Grants in Germany Requirements for candidates:• Applicants must not have completed their last degree more than six years before the application deadline.• If already pursuing a doctoral degree, the start of doctoral studies must not be more than 3 years ago.• Applicants who already hold a doctoral degree must not have obtained it more than four years ago.• Applicants cannot apply if they have resided in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application.Note:Special regulations apply to applicants in human medicine, veterinary medicine, and dentistry. In arts, social sciences, and law, good German language skills are usually required. 3 DAAD One-Year Grants for Doctoral Candidates This program provides an opportunity to conduct research within doctoral projects in Germany.Who can apply?• candidates already pursuing a doctoral degree;or• candidates who do not yet hold a doctoral degree but already have a Master’s, Diploma, or exceptionally a Bachelor’s degree by the beginning of the funding period.• Applicants who already hold a Candidate of Sciences degree are not eligible.What can be funded?The program funds a research project or continuation of academic training at a state or state-recognized higher education institution or non-university research institute in Germany in cooperation with a German academic supervisor.Funding duration:7 to maximum 12 months.More details: DAAD Scholarship Database 15 November annuallyApplications with required documents are submitted via the DAAD portal
4 Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program Research areas:The program accepts proposals from various disciplines but prioritizes the following areas: digital development, STEM education, climate change and climate engineering, disaster response, economic development, civic engagement, English language education, and countering violent extremism.Program duration:Candidates may apply for one or two semesters. Applicants requesting support for a full academic year must provide a schedule of teaching and/or research activities. Final grant dates will align with the host institution’s academic calendar. 5 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy offers fellowships in medicine in the following areas:Prosperous Communities:• Communicable and non-communicable diseases• Public health policy and management• HIV/AIDS policy and prevention• Substance abuse education, treatment, and prevention• Educational administration, planning, and policy• Higher education administration• Teaching English as a foreign languageEligibility requirements:• citizen and resident of the Kyrgyz Republic at the time of application;• graduate of an accredited university/college with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;• at least five years of substantial professional experience;• demonstrated leadership qualities and commitment to public service;• English language proficiency;• willingness to return to Kyrgyzstan after completion of the program.More details: Hubert H. 8 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Who is the program intended for?Representatives of both academic and non-academic sectors, including industry and SMEs.Application requirements:Researchers are divided into two groups:• Early-stage researchers: less than four years of research experience and no doctoral degree at the time of recruitment.• Experienced researchers: at least four years of research experience or possession of a doctoral degree. Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship

China Scholarship Council is a Chinese government organization responsible for international education programs and scholarships. The Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program aims to develop global governance talents with leadership skills, international perspectives, and multicultural backgrounds. Selected candidates receive a full scholarship for Master’s studies at Chinese universities.

Who can apply: government officials, senior managers of institutions and enterprises, university or research institution administrators, and applicants with work or internship experience in international organizations.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a non-Chinese citizen.
  • Must be under 45 years old.
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 3 years of work experience.
  • Preference is given to applicants with experience related to the chosen program.
  • Must obtain a pre-admission letter from a Chinese university.
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • English language proficiency.
