<p>An international congress titled “Bones and Joints” was held in Antalya, Turkey. At this significant event, the director of the National Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics, Academician Sabyrbek Jumabekov, delivered a presentation on “Cementless Endoprosthetics for Oncological Bone and Joint Diseases” and also served as a moderator for one of the sessions.<p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/05.25/img8_14.05.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/05.25/img8_14.05.25.jpeg"></p><p>The congress brought together over 400 delegates from 12 countries to discuss pressing issues in orthopedics and traumatology. The event was organized at a very high level, featuring discussions on advanced research, experiences, and solutions in the field.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/05.25/img10_14.05.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/05.25/img10_14.05.25.jpeg"></p><p>The Orthopedics and Traumatology Association of Kyrgyzstan actively participated in the organizational aspects of the congress. Academician Sabyrbek Jumabekov’s presentation and moderation were highly praised by the scientific community.</p></p>

<p>From April 28 to May 3, 2025, Professor Matthias Breidert, MD, Vice President of the Gastroenterology Foundation e.V. (Germany), once again arrived at the Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy of the Academic Clinic No. 7 of the I.K. Akhunbaev KSMA "RDTC".<p>During the visit, Professor Breidert, together with the doctors of department and staff of the KSMA — Osmonaliev B.K., Eldiyarova A.E. and Atakulov B.A. — conducted consultations and examined about 30 patients with various diseases, including esophageal strictures and foreign bodies, gastroesophageal reflux disease, intestinal metaplasia of stomach and gastrointestinal tumors.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/05.25/img22_12.05.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/05.25/img22_12.05.25.jpeg"></p><p>An important stage of the visit was the continuation of educational work with local specialists: professor shared his experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex GIT diseases, conducted training workshops.</p><p>Of particular importance was the performance of the first joint operation of ERCP (endoscopic retrograde pancreatocholangiography) with EPST (endoscopic papillosphincterotomy) for stricture of the common bile duct within the clinic. The intervention was performed using modern endoscopic equipment and a C-bow X-ray surgical system brought by the professor.</p><p>The management of the clinic and KSMA express their sincere gratitude to Professor Breidert for his contribution to development of the endoscopic service in the country, as well as for his continued willingness to share experience and new technologies with domestic specialists.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/05.25/img23_12.05.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/05.25/img23_12.05.25.jpeg"></p><p> </p><p> </p></p>

<p>Students from groups 27 and 30 of the Faculty of Medicine made another significant contribution to environmental improvement by participating in the greening of the territory of Academic Clinic No. 1. Guided by the curators of the Department of Otolaryngology, E.S. Kuliyeva and N.V. Solodchenko, the young volunteers planted flowers in the central flowerbed, cleared dry leaves, and tidied up the surrounding area.<p>This initiative was part of the ecological campaign “My Green University,” aimed at creating a cozy and aesthetically pleasing environment for medical institutions.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/04.25/img44_29.04.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/04.25/img44_29.04.25.jpeg"></p><p> </p><p>Such events not only enhance the external appearance of educational and medical facilities but also strengthen the sense of community among students. The active participation of young people demonstrates that even small efforts can lead to significant changes.</p><p>Now the bright flowerbed pleases the eyes of patients and clinic staff, reminding everyone of the importance of caring for nature and their city. <p>An employee of the Department of Faculty Pediatrics named after K. K. Kozhonazarov and the Dean of the Pediatrics Faculty, Oksana Igorevna Terekhova, participated in the international scientific and practical conference “Current Issues in Modern Endocrinology: From Innovation to Real Clinical Practice,” held on April 23–24, 2025, in Samarkand.<p>As part of the conference, Oksana Igorevna presented a report on the challenges of thyroid gland function at different stages of human development—from early childhood to adulthood. In her presentation, she thoroughly analyzed modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases, emphasizing the importance of timely identification of pathologies and the use of innovative technologies in clinical practice.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/04.25/img1_28.04.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/04.25/img1_28.04.25.jpeg"></p><p>Special attention in her report was given to the issues of interdisciplinary collaboration and the integration of new research methods, making the presentation not only theoretically rich but also practically valuable for physicians of various specialties.</p><p>Oksana Igorevna’s participation in this event contributed significantly to the development of international collaboration in endocrinology and highlighted the high level of professionalism of Russian specialists in this critical field of medicine.</p></p>

<p>As part of the Science Days at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev (KSMU), a significant event took place—the opening of a scientific and methodological corner in the library of the academy’s main building. This milestone marks an important step in the development of cooperation between KSMU and the Institute of Physiology named after I.P. Pavlov of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) as part of the work of the Pavlov International Resource Center for Innovative Biomedical and Educational Health Technologies (PMRC).<div> </div><div>The opening of the corner is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Institute of Physiology named after I.P. Pavlov. <p>Today marked the grand opening of the 62nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “KGMA Science Days – 2025,” dedicated to the 117th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and doctor, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Zyphar Igemberdiev, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of medicine in Kyrgyzstan.<p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/04.25/img1_17.04.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/04.25/img1_17.04.25.jpeg"></p><p>The conference brought together leading scientists, practicing professionals, and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan and abroad to discuss pressing medical issues, including disease prevention, surgery, pharmacology, dentistry, fundamental research, and many more topics.</p><p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/04.25/img2_17.04.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/04.25/img2_17.04.25.jpeg"></p><p>The key sections of the conference cover essential aspects of healthcare, ranging from internal medicine and public health to biomedical engineering and humanities. The working languages of the conference are Kyrgyz, Russian, and English. Special attention was paid to the memory of Zyphar Igemberdiev, former Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz SSR, founder of the National Hospital in Frunze, Honored Doctor of the Republic, and veteran of the Great Patriotic War, whose legacy laid the foundation for future generations of specialists. <p>On April 14, 2025, the “Ala-Too Jazy” youth festival was held at the T. Satylganov Kyrgyz National Philharmonic, where students of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMU) won the “Best Choreographic Performance” nomination. The team, prepared by the KSMU Department of Educational Work, showcased exceptional choreographic skills.<p><img class="image-link img-full" src="/images/base/04.25/img13_14.04.25.jpeg" alt="" data-mfp-src="/images/full/04.25/img13_14.04.25.jpeg"></p><p>This year, the festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, gathered 104 teams from 24 higher education institutions across the country.
