The Russian language Department was established in 1974 and became an integral part of the educational process, enriching it not only with knowledge of the Russian language, but also contributing to the formation of a cultural context for future doctors. The first head of the department was senior lecturer I.G. Grebennikova (1974-1983). In different years, the department was headed by: Ph.D. V.V. Svetlichnaya, senior lecturer L.N. Tsvetkova, Ph.D. M.P. Tsirulina, Ph.D. N.M. Koichumanova, Ph.D. A.Sh. Sharshenbaev. Since 2011 the department has been headed by Ph.D., Associate Professor. Kulbaeva G.B.

The Department of Russian languages is proud to present a series of textbooks and teaching aids developed by the head of the Russian Language Department, Ph.D., Associate Professor Kulbaeva G.B. These educational materials cover a wide range of linguistic aspects, from the basics of grammar and vocabulary to the development of communicative skills. Textbooks are actively used not only in our academy, but also in other educational institutions of the republic where doctors are trained. The teachers of our department contribute to the development of linguistic science. Our articles are regularly published in leading scientific journals and publishing houses. The staff of the department has published over 80 articles. A dictionary of medicinal plants was published with the Departments of Pharmacognosy and Chemistry of Medicines, Foreign and Latin languages.

The educational activities of the Russian Language Department are a key aspect of our work providing quality education and developing students' language skills. The department conducts practical Russian classes for the first-year students of all faculties. There were developed the educational programs of Russian languages, Russian language as a Foreign Language, Russian Language in Professional Activity, Speech Ethics of a Pharmacist, Speech Etiquette. In order to share experiences and improve pedagogical skills, teachers of the department participate in conferences and round tables. Every year, the department holds an interuniversity methodological seminar on the basis of KSMA. For the Profound mastering of educational material and the development of students' speech skills, various educational events are held at the department, such as seminars, master classes, project work. In addition to educational activities, the teachers of the department hold a variety of cultural and social events: thematic exhibitions, wall newspaper contests, concerts, theatrical productions and master classes, immersing in atmosphere of Russian culture, art and tradition.

The Department staff published 58 articles obtained 60 certificates, 8 teachers attended Refresh courses.

Are preparing PhD thesis, published scientific articles, attending professional development courses, updated visual AIDS, stands. Are held the Olympics, and Gala events. Members of the Department are curators.

For their contribution to the educational process, the teachers of the department were rewarded with certificates of honor, medals, and certificates.
