Teaching activities in postgraduate programmes

According to Government Resolution No. 327 of 16 July 2018, postgraduate studies (adjuncture) is the primary method of training scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The postgraduate programme at I.K. Akhunbaev KSMA was established in 2019 and offers full-time and part-time training for postgraduate students.  Upon completion of the programme, a unified certificate with an insert is issued, detailing the list of disciplines mastered, the number of hours completed, and the grades received, in accordance with the requirements set by the authorized state body in the field of science.

In addition to the disciplines of Kyrgyz and English language, history and philosophy of science, the disciplines of «School of Pedagogical Excellence» and «Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research» were included in the training programme for postgraduate students of the KSMA.

In May 2023, the «Integrated Curriculum of the Educational Programme Management of Scientific Research» was approved for postgraduate students in their 1st-4th years of study. The curriculum integrates the programmes of candidate minimums in «English Language», «Kyrgyz Language», «History and Philosophy of Science», «Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research», and «School of Pedagogical Excellence» in a logical sequence and interrelation. At the same time, the thematic plans of the Working Programmes of «Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research» and candidate minimums have been updated and brought in line with the requirements of higher education.

Currently, postgraduate students receive training in the discipline of «Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research». In the first year, they enhance their competencies in selecting research designs, organizing and conducting research, and statistically processing collected data.   In the second year, they develop skills in academic writing and publication activities. In the third year of study and during the finalisation of their research, students master the rules of formalising the results of their own research in the form of a thesis and abstract.
