DEAR COLLEAGUES AND STUDENTS!

On February 12-13, 2025, the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State
Medical Academy will host the inter-university student Olympiad on the topic "Prevention – the
way to preserve health!"
The goal of the Olympiad is to enhance knowledge in the field of preventive medicine, raise
students' interest in their academic activities and future profession, and create opportunities for
students to showcase their scientific and creative potential.
The Olympiad Categories Include:
Hygiene
Epidemiology
Public Health and Healthcare
Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology
We invite students of the 3rd-6th years of medical universities in Kyrgyzstan to participate. Two
teams from each university are invited, one with instruction in Russian and one in English.
Winners in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, as well as special nominations, will be determined based
on both team and individual achievements (practical skills). The team that accumulates the most
points across all contests and the video greeting will be declared the winner of the team
competition. Participants will be evaluated by experts using standardized checklists and the total
score will be calculated.

The Olympiad will consist of 4 stages:
Day 1:
Team Video Greeting
“Kahoot” Blitz Tournament
Case Study Solving
Day 2:
Practical Skills
Quiz for the audience
Skit on the topic of the Olympiad
Closing and Results Announcement
The results will be announced after each stage by the jury.
Day 1 Stage I: "Team Video Greeting"
Stage II: "Kahoot" Blitz Tournament
The team competition will be held in the form of a blitz tournament using the electronic platform
"Kahoot!". The quiz will consist of 30 questions on the prevention of diseases across medical
and preventive disciplines:
Public Health
Epidemiology
Hygiene disciplines
General Hygiene
Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology
Stage III: Case Study Solving
Teams will compete in solving situational tasks. The teams will receive situational tasks to solve.
Day 2 Stage IV: Practical Skills
Teams will compete in practical tasks. Each participant will receive tasks on practical skills.
Stage V: Skit
Topic: Prevention of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
The team’s performance will be evaluated separately.
Procedure for determining the results of the Olympiad:
After each stage, the winning teams will be determined.
Winners will be awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree and prizes.
