Education 1 April 2025

On March 27, 2025, the cozy walls of the Department of Russian Language hosted an interuniversity seminar that brought together educators from KGNU, KGiFS, the Salymbekov University, MUIT, IPP, the Conservatory, and KGMA. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and interest in innovations in teaching methodology.

The seminar began with a welcoming speech from the organizers and the vice-rector of KGMA, N. Mamatov. Following this, N. Ryskulbekova, a senior lecturer, took the stage with her topic "Immersion in a Language Environment as an Effective Method for Learning a Foreign Language." Her presentation captured the audience's attention as she discussed how creating a language environment can facilitate deeper material comprehension.

Next, K. Bekturova, a candidate of philological sciences and associate professor, presented her work on student-centered learning in practical Russian language courses. In her presentation, Bekturova emphasized the importance of adapting teaching methods to meet students' needs and interests to make learning more effective and motivating.

Particular interest was sparked by a master class led by G. Kulbaeva, a candidate of philological sciences, associate professor, and head of the Department of Russian Language. Her presentation on "What Makes a Teacher Truly Good?" became one of the highlights of the seminar. Educators actively discussed issues related to speech ethics, behavior culture, the external appearance of teachers, and language standards. The master class provoked lively discussion and exchange of opinions among participants.

In conclusion of the seminar, G.B. Kulbaeva thanked all participants for their active involvement and noted that the seminar had become an important event for exchanging experiences and new ideas. She also highlighted the significance of applying proper teaching methodologies for Russian language instruction in non-linguistic universities and expressed hope for further collaboration.

As a memento of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates, symbolizing recognition of their efforts and commitment to professional growth. This day will be remembered not only for new knowledge and ideas but also for the warm atmosphere of collaboration among universities.
