Teachers of the Department of Neurology and Clinical Genetics of the I. K. Akhunbayev KSMU took part as moderators and speakers at the III International Congress of the Turkic World on Multiple sclerosis. The event was held on April 2-4, 2020 in an online format.
The congress discussed methods of modern diagnosis and treatment of neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis, optical neuromyelitis( NMO), diseases associated with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoproteins (MOG), and along with current developments during the pandemic process, the follow-up and treatment of these diseases were discussed.
Asel Zhusupova, Acting associate Professor of this department, made a report on "Difficulties in diagnosing NMO on the example of a clinical case", assistant Kunduz Karbozova made a report on "Epidemiology and features of multiple sclerosis in Kyrgyzstan".
The congress was attended by doctors and scientists from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Northern Cyprus.
