On 14 January 2024, I.K. Akhunbaev KSMA was visited by a student group from Dubai Medical College for Girls. The group was led by Professor Dr Shifan Khanday - Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Smart Education Unit DMU

The student group from the United Arab Emirates will stay at KSMA for 3 days. A rich programme of events has been drawn up for the guests. On the first day students and their teachers got acquainted with the heads of the Academy headed by the Rector Indira Kudaibergenova. The acquaintance took place in the Rector's office, where the parties discussed teaching methods in medical education and exchange of experience between educational institutions. After the exchange of gifts, the group from Dubai visited the museums of KSMA: Museum of History of KSMA, Museum of Plastination in the Morphocorpus, Museum of Histology and Embryology. They visited the departments of microbiology and virology, biochemistry, also the centre of testing and diagnostics of the Medical Academy.

During the familiarisation tour of the Museum of Histology, Cytology and Embryology, which was conducted by the Head of the Department of Histology, Professor Aidarbekova Zifargul, the guests admired the magnificent collection of unique rare microscopes of different epochs. They noted the wall panel of the museum, which depicts human embryos in different stages of development - from the first days of conception to 36 weeks.

The student group intends to visit the Republican Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at KSMA, meet and get acquainted with the students and pay a visit to the children's rehabilitation centre ‘Kelechek’.
