Recently, the vice-rector of the I.K. Akhunbaeva on International Relations and Strategic Development, Professor Gulmira Dzhumalieva met with Professor from the Department of Veterinary Epidemiology of the University of Zurich Paul Torgenson. During the meeting, it was decided to sign a memorandum between the two universities on cooperation in the near future, and to conduct business correspondence on an ongoing basis.

Professor Paul Torgenson took part in the work of the Subregional Conference on Echinococcosis in Bishkek, where issues on the control and prevention of this disease in Kyrgyzstan were discussed with the participation of domestic and foreign experts.
