On December 18, 2019, honorary professors of the I.K. Akhunbaev was planted on the main alley of the university and a commemorative plaque was installed next to them. They dedicated this event to the 80th anniversary of KSMA. The initiator of the action is one of the active professors of the Medical Academy Abdykadyr Asambayev.

Rector of KSMA, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova thanked the honorary professors who made a huge contribution to the training of highly qualified doctors for a responsible attitude to the present and future of the first medical university in Kyrgyzstan and wished each and every one of them good health and long life.
