At the meeting of the solemn Academic Council of the Medical Academy of Kyrgyzstan dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Academician Isa Konoyevich Akhunbayev on September 25, 2018, commemorative medals "For Services to KSMA" were awarded to individuals who made a great contribution to the development of the university: Talantbek Batyraliyev, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Asan Zhaylobayev, Honorary Professor of KSMA, Abdykadyr Asanbayev, Honorary Professor of KSMA, Bayyzbek Dzhorobekov, Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Stalbek Akhunbayev, Rector of the HIS of Medicine.

            The annual Akhunbayev scholarships, established by the family of the great surgeon, were also awarded to two students of the KSMU. Namely: Aida Yasynova-a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics for brilliant achievements in her studies and social work, Mairam Ernisova-a 6th-year student of the medical Faculty for high achievements in the field of student scientific research and work in the Scientific Student Society.

            The awarded scientists, teachers and students were warmly congratulated by the Rector of the Medical Academy, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova.
