Ak-Keme team ("White Steamship») The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. K. Akhunbaev became the winner in the category "Creative Thinking" in the VII All-Russian Olympiad with international participation in practical medical training "Golden Medskill", held at the Sechenov University in Moscow. The team consists of students of the sixth and fifth courses of the faculty General Medicine of the university: Kubatbekov Rustam, Razzakov Kubanychbek, Bakytbek uulu Rinat, Alena Pak, Alikzhanov Alikhan, Nurdinov Baigeldi.
This year, 55 teams of students of 4-6 courses of medical universities from all over Russia and neighboring countries gathered at the Institute of Electronic Medical Education of Sechenov University. At the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the named university, Tatyana Litvinova, greeted the "Olympians" and wished them good luck. She further emphasized that the "Golden MedSkill" is an important event for any medical university. Each participant receives an objective assessment of their professional training, which will play an important role in the career growth of the future doctor.
An important part of the event was a unique lecture by Leo Bokeria, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery No. 2 of Sechenov University, Director of the A. N. Bakulev National Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to our team members, for 5 hours, the teams moved from one station to another, where they performed various tasks in situations as close to reality as possible. They could also take six training master classes in cardiology, emergency situations, actions in the disaster zone, life-threatening situation in obstetric practice, pain medicine, and traumatology. One of their stages was testing for work in emergency situations. For the duration of the mission, the captains of the five teams were united in one team to provide emergency assistance. This task was given only 6 minutes. The participants had to navigate the situation as quickly as possible, show knowledge and act together, without missing precious time to save people's lives.
The winners of the Olympiad were determined by a professional jury, which impartially evaluated the teams at the stages of completing tasks.
