The Department of Normal Physiology of the I. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, under the leadership of the Head of the Department, достойно represented the Academy at the III International Olympiad of Medical Students “Samarkand – 2020,” held at the Samarkand State Medical University.

The Olympiad brought together 65 medical universities and about 1,000 students from different countries, highlighting the high level of competition and the prestige of the event.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the team of I. Akhunbaev KSMA achieved excellent outcomes:

• 🥇 3 first places

• 🥉 3 third places

• 🏅 4 special nominations

The achieved results confirm the high level of students’ training, the professionalism of the teaching staff, and the effectiveness of the scientific and educational work of the Department of Normal Physiology.

Overall, the team’s performance can be assessed as very successful, considering the scale of the Olympiad and the number of participants.
