In Bishkek, on May 16, the third congress of general practitioners and family doctors of Kyrgyzstan began its work, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaev. The delegates got acquainted with the exhibition of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, deployed in the hotel lobby.
At the first plenary session, guests of honor of the congress made speeches: Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Almazbek Toktorov, head of the WHO country office in Kyrgyzstan Nazira Artykova, representative of the Swiss Embassy in our country Veronikka Ullmann and others.
Eight reports were read on various issues of family medicine, including by the Belgian scientist Jean de Mesener, specialist of the WHO European Center for Primary Health Care Zulfiya Pirova (Kazakhstan).
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Madamin Karataev.
In the afternoon and tomorrow, a congress organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic, the Association of Family Physicians and Family Nurses of Kyrgyzstan, KSMA, the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training named after S. B. Daniyarova, NGO "Initiatives in Medical Education" and NGO "Family Medicine without Borders" will continue their work.
