From June 18 to July 3, 2024, the famous Swiss professor, gastroenterologist and endoscopic surgeon Kaspar Truninger was in the Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy of the RDTC. During his stay, professor, together with endoscopists of center, performed around 40 endoscopic interventions (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, biopsy of gastric, duodenal and colon tumors, polypectomies), in which advanced techniques and technologies were used. He also conducted consultations for 25 patients, which significantly improved the quality of diagnosis and treatment.

One of the key parts of the visit was a discussion of interesting clinical cases, which facilitated the exchange of experience and knowledge between colleagues. The professor also paid attention to training doctors and residents in new endoscopy skills, which will help improve the level of medical care at the center.

A particularly important event was a lecture by professor on the topic of tumors of gastrointestinal tract, which was read for endoscopists from various clinics in Bishkek. This event brought together many specialists interested in deepening their knowledge and improving their professional skills.

The visit of professor Kaspar Truninger was a significant step towards the development of gastroenterology and endoscopy in Kyrgyzstan, as well as strengthened international relations and cooperation in medical field.
