Sabyrbek Jumabekov, Head of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics, and Extreme Surgery at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Academy of Sciences, attended a modern medical technology exhibition. This event marked an important milestone in exploring global medical achievements, particularly those of China, which has firmly established itself as a leader in this field.
Chinese medicine has achieved significant success in the fields of orthopedics and traumatology. The latest technologies presented at the exhibition amazed with their diversity and innovation. Their number was so vast that even three days were not enough to study all the advancements thoroughly. China boasts over 100,000 highly qualified orthopedic and trauma specialists, and the medical sector continues to develop rapidly.
Special attention was given to robotic surgical technologies. China has nine factories producing surgical robots capable of performing complex operations. Academician Jumabekov personally observed their work, studied their advantages and disadvantages, and participated in demonstrations. Undoubtedly, the human factor remains paramount, but the integration of robotic surgeons into medical practice is becoming an inevitable part of modern healthcare.
If all goes well, the first robotic surgeons will soon start operating in Kyrgyzstan, marking a significant step forward for our medical system.
This trip was productive and inspiring. It provided an opportunity not only to become acquainted with cutting-edge technologies but also to consider incorporating these advancements into our medical system.
