Today marked the grand opening of the 62nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “KGMA Science Days – 2025,” dedicated to the 117th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and doctor, Doctor of Sciences, Professor Zyphar Igemberdiev, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of medicine in Kyrgyzstan.
The conference brought together leading scientists, practicing professionals, and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan and abroad to discuss pressing medical issues, including disease prevention, surgery, pharmacology, dentistry, fundamental research, and many more topics.
The key sections of the conference cover essential aspects of healthcare, ranging from internal medicine and public health to biomedical engineering and humanities. The working languages of the conference are Kyrgyz, Russian, and English. Special attention was paid to the memory of Zyphar Igemberdiev, former Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz SSR, founder of the National Hospital in Frunze, Honored Doctor of the Republic, and veteran of the Great Patriotic War, whose legacy laid the foundation for future generations of specialists. Tomorrow, a meeting of the academic council will take place, with the participation of distinguished guests, including representatives of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Ministries of Health and Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as foreign scientists.
