On July 16, 2019, a round table on the topic "The problem of chronic pain in Kyrgyzstan" was held in the conference hall of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. K. Akhunbaev: the main reasons and solutions". During the round table, a report was made by a scientist from the UK, Professor Bazbek Davletov, the rector of the Medical Academy, Professor I. Kudaibergenova, also participated in the discussions of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Erkin Alymbayev, Professor Talantbek Batyraliev, Head of the Department of Family Medicine of postgraduate education of the university, Professor Nurlan Brimkulov and others.

The participants of the event took an active part in the discussion of the topic and summed up the work of the "round table" by preparing a joint application for a scientific project to the Global Problems Research Foundation (GCRF) Great Britain.
