Today, on April 22, 2019, a volleyball tournament dedicated to the memory of the outstanding surgeon, Academician Isa Konoyevich Akhunbaev, began in the KSMA gym with a game between the teams of the National Hospital and the Chui Regional Hospital. This tournament is held annually. This year, eight teams from various medical institutions participate in it.

The official opening of the tournament was attended by the heads of the university, family members of the unforgettable scientist. Its participants and numerous fans were warmly welcomed by the Rector of the Medical Academy, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova.

According to the organizers, the sports event will last for two days, and the winners will receive diplomas and valuable prizes.
