The traditional football tournament for the "Rector's Cup" is being held at the I. K. Akhunbayev KSMA. Speaking at its grand opening, the rector of the university, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova stressed the positive role of sports in improving human health and performance, and also wished the participants and fans of the tournament more victories and positive emotions.

Teams from all faculties are represented at the sports event. The teams that take the first, second, and third places receive diplomas and prizes. During the tournament, the best players of KSMA will also be determined.
