On April 9-10, 2026, the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty) hosted the IV International Student Olympiad in Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, dedicated to the memory of Academician A.A. Idrisov. The "Ak Keme" team, representing the Student Scientific Society of the Department of Faculty Surgery named after Academician K.R. Ryskulova and led by Assistant B.A. Atakulov, worthily represented the I.K. Akhunbaev KSMA.
Over the course of an intensive two-day program, students participated in 18 competitions covering theory, simulation tasks, and highly complex practical stages in vascular, thoracic, and reconstructive surgery.
Based on the results of individual stages, our students excelled by taking 1st Place in the following prestigious categories:
1. "Craniotomy with Duroplasty" – Aidil Duishebaev, Faizullo Mannapov, Sultanbek Mamatiraimov.
2. "Double Tract Reconstruction" – Aliya Saparova, Temirlan Zhumashov, Suban Imanbekov.
3. "Surgical Anatomy on the Pirogov Interactive Table" – Aidil Duishebaev.
2nd place:
