On September 1, 2018, the Medical Academy of Kyrgyzstan named after I. K. Akhunbayev held a solemn event in honor of the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new academic year with the participation of students and teachers of the university. It started with the laying of wreaths at the monument to Academician I. K. Akhunbayev, which is located in front of the main building of the KSMА.

The rector of the Medical Academy, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova, Academician, Hero of Kyrgyzstan Mitalip Mamytov, academicians Duishe Kudayarov and Abdukhalim Raimzhanov, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Dokturbek Adambekov congratulated their colleagues and students. The team members released colorful balloons into the air and wished each other success in work and study, happiness, and health.
