Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers Program (JOCV), JICA

Starting from January 13, 2026, a volunteer from Japan, Motoki Sugihara, arrived for a two-year term at the Medical Secondary Educational Institution under the I. K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy through the JICA, within a program developed on the basis of academic mobility.

The purpose of his stay is to teach and train students in Japanese Shiatsu massage.

During his visit, Motoki Sugihara was introduced to the Academy’s administration and library. He also held meetings with T. B. Yusupova, Head of the International Relations Department of the I. K. Akhunbaev KSMA; M. K. Baysalov, Director of Academic Clinic No. 7; N. M. Asanbekova, Director of the Medical Secondary Educational Institution; Aizhan, a JICA representative; and N. M. Toiteva, an instructor of the Medical Secondary Educational Institution.

On the same day, Motoki Sugihara participated in an ознакомительный tour of the KSMA main building and the educational facilities of the Medical Secondary Educational Institution. He also attended the Kyrgyz Language Festival, held in Lecture Hall No. 2 of KSMA.
